POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Generalist

CLASSIFICATION: Salaried, Exempt | On-Site, Mon-Fri 8:00am–5:00pm

MANAGER: Director of People

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Socium Advisors is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to serve as a comprehensive HR resource supporting employees and leaders across all facets of the employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, professional, and able to manage and prioritize a high volume of diverse, deadline-driven tasks with discretion and care. This role is responsible for talent acquisition and recruiting, payroll processing, benefits administration, employee relations, performance management and development, onboarding, offboarding, and more. Reporting directly to the Director of People, the HR Generalist will play a vital role in building and sustaining a high-performing, people-first culture that reflects Socium Advisors’ Core Values.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Manage full-cycle recruiting including sourcing, screening, interviewing, extending offers, and coordinating all pre-employment processes for open positions across the firm

· Process semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws and regulations

· Administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA, HSA and ancillary offerings; manage open enrollment, qualifying life events, and vendor relationships

· Support the performance management process including goal-setting, mid-year check-ins, quarterly conversations, and individualized development planning in partnership with managers and the Director of People

· Design and deliver comprehensive onboarding experiences that accelerate new hire integration, build connection to the team, and reinforce Socium Advisors’ culture and Core Values

· Coordinate all offboarding activities including exit interviews, final pay and PTO processing, benefits terminations, equipment collection, and knowledge transfer documentation

· Serve as a trusted and approachable resource for employees and managers on HR policies, employment law questions, employee relations matters, and workplace conflict resolution

· Maintain accurate and compliant employee records, HR files, and HRIS data; generate workforce reports and analytics to support leadership decision-making

· Partner with the Director of People to develop, update, communicate, and enforce HR policies and procedures in alignment with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws

· Coordinate and support employee engagement, recognition, and culture-building programs and events throughout the year

· Performs other position duties when required

· Collaborate with other team members including peers within the broader Northwestern Mutual network

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum 3 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or multi-functional HR capacity

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

· Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, EEOC guidelines, and related regulations

· Demonstrated experience processing payroll and administering employee benefits programs end-to-end

· Experience managing full-cycle recruiting and delivering a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience

· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

· Proficient in HRIS and payroll platforms (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, or comparable systems)

· Legally authorized to work in the United States

· Ability to clear a criminal background check

· Minimal travel may be required for planning meetings, off-site events, and professional development activities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Wealth management or financial services industry experience a plus

· PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent HR certification (or active pursuit thereof)

· Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and performance management software platforms

LOCATION:

622 Emerson Rd., St. Louis, MO 63141

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a fully in-office role, Monday through Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, located at 622 Emerson Rd., St. Louis, MO 63141. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, Zoom, copy/fax machines, and smartphones. Occasional travel may be required for team planning meetings, off-site events, and professional development activities.

COMPENSATION:

This is a salaried position and the range for the position is $ 75,000 to $85,000. (Compensation will be commensurate with experience.)

This position is also eligible for the semi-annual bonus program and these annual bonus payments average 10-12% of salary with the maximum payment equal to 20% of salary.
