Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal or Secretary to join our dynamic legal team. We are a national Class Action firm located in downtown Detroit in an historic building. We primarily represent individuals in class actions claiming damages as a result of environmental contamination.

Responsibilities

Manage and organize legal documents, case files, and correspondence using document management systems such as iManage and Westlaw.
Assist with drafting legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
Support attorneys with client communication, scheduling interviews, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
Perform data entry, file management, and document review to ensure accuracy and compliance with procedural law requirements.
Coordinate project management tasks related to litigation cases or legal proceedings, ensuring deadlines are met efficiently.
Provide executive administrative support by managing calendars, preparing reports, handling phone etiquette professionally, and organizing meetings.Qualifications
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and proofreading materials accurately.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management systems like iManage.
Effective client communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette.
Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high standards of accuracy in data entry and filing.

Pay: $48,725.29 - $58,679.91 per year
