Purpose of Position
The Logistics/Material Coordinator is responsible for the accurate receipt, movement, organization, staging, and shipment of material throughout IMG’s facility. This position supports the complete flow of material from receipt through project staging, production, return, and final shipment.
The Logistics/Material Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring materials are accurately received, identified, documented, and routed to the correct project location for tool build and cell integration. The position also supports shipping and receiving activities, inventory accuracy, material returns, non-conforming material, and the organization and cleanliness of warehouse and project material areas.
The successful candidate will foster a safety-focused culture, maintain accurate material records, and work closely with Purchasing, Engineering, Project Management, shop leadership, and production teams to resolve material issues and support project schedules.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments and verify material against packing slips, purchase orders, and other receiving documentation.
- Scan and receive incoming material into the company’s ERP system accurately and in a timely manner.
- Inspect incoming shipments for visible damage, shortages, incorrect material, and other discrepancies.
- Label, sort, organize, and stage material by project, job order, part number, or designated storage location.
- Route received material to the appropriate project shelf, Kit Cart, warehouse location, or production area.
- Maintain project material organization to ensure parts can be easily identified, located, and issued for production.
- Track the movement of material between warehouse locations, project storage areas, the production floor, and other designated locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory and material transaction records in the ERP system and other tracking tools.
- Update material tracking records and communicate discrepancies, damaged parts, missing material, mislabeled parts, and excess material to the appropriate team members.
- Investigate and help resolve material concerns identified by the production and build teams.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and shop leadership to ensure damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming materials are repaired, replaced, returned, or otherwise dispositioned.
- Maintain the non-conformance area and ensure material is clearly identified and segregated.
- Process supplier returns and assist with the timely disposition of excess and unused project material.
- Ensure scrap material is properly identified and disposed of in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist with physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits.
- Prepare, package, label, and organize outgoing shipments.
- Prepare and maintain shipping and receiving documentation and records.
- Maintain files and records of goods shipped and received and prepare reports as required.
- Load and unload freight using a sit-down propane forklift or other approved material-handling equipment.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing freight with carriers, suppliers, and internal team members.
- Maintain warehouse, shipping, receiving, project storage, and material staging areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition in accordance with 5S standards.
- Support the production floor and assist with other material, logistics, and warehouse activities as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures while handling, moving, loading, unloading, and storing material.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in material coordination, shipping and receiving, warehousing, inventory control, or a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Previous forklift experience required.
- Ability to safely operate a sit-down propane forklift.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to perform occasional heavy lifting and physical material-handling activities.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn ERP and other business systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret part numbers, purchase orders, packing slips, bills of material, shipping documents, and basic blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to material and inventory accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to investigate discrepancies and follow issues through resolution.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Purchasing, Engineering, Project Management, Shipping and Receiving, warehouse personnel, and production teams.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This position works primarily in a manufacturing, warehouse, and shipping/receiving environment. The employee must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, reach, lift, move material, and safely operate material-handling equipment. The position may require occasional travel to local supplier or customer locations for pickup and delivery activities.
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
