Full Job Description

We are looking to add a qualified bookkeeper/accountant to our team to help us deliver a high level of client service.

The successful candidate will perform a wide array of accounting, bookkeeping and tax matters functions including the responsibility to be in-charge of the Puerto Rico's Department of Treasury digital platform, SURI, while interfacing with clients and staff on a daily basis. You will play a vital role in assisting clients with bookkeeping, accounting software, and payroll and business tax compliance. This detail-oriented role will challenge you to multitask and be extremely organized and efficient in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented profession. In addition to accounting responsibilities, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative roles to support our overall firm vision.

Responsibilities

Accounting ,bookkeeping and tax compliance functions
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of the client payroll
Efficient with time and processes
Complete sales, use tax returns (SURI platform)
Payroll taxes deposits, withholding tax returns and quarterly tax returns

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
3- 5 years of experience in full accounting cycle (Working experience with a CPA firm will be a plus)
Fully Bilingual (Oral & Written), English and Spanish
Able to effectively and professionally communicate with clients and staff
Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Compensation: $30K - $35K

0K Base Salary or Commensurate with candidate experience.

Working Schedule: Monday to Friday – Some overtime (tax deadlines, SURI requirements, tax, payroll duties, monthly, quarterly, year-end closings and special projects will require overtime).

Travel - Minimal travel may be required at times within Puerto Rico.
