Head Cook – Chef (Healthy Food)

Position Purpose

Lead the culinary operation with a focus on healthy food, ensuring consistent, tasty, and nutritious menus; excellence in execution; food safety; and efficient management of costs, inventories, and staff, aligned with business objectives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the execution of healthy menus; ensure the team follows recipes and technical specifications.
Ensure the quality and presentation standards of each dish before serving.
Conduct regular line checks, tastings, and menu reviews; adjust processes/recipes to improve flavor, nutrition, and consistency.
Direct all kitchen operations: scheduling shifts, professional training, and ongoing evaluation of the culinary team.
Foster a culture of respect, professionalism, and enthusiasm, with a focus on teamwork and continuous learning.
Maintain effective cost controls (food, supplies, waste) without compromising quality.
Monitor inventory: optimal levels, FIFO/FEFO rotation, counts, and budget compliance.
Ensure the order, cleanliness, and functionality of kitchen equipment and facilities (checklists, preventive maintenance).
Implement and maintain health and safety protocols (
Periodically review and update kitchen practices to meet the latest sanitation standards.
Establish relationships with suppliers and distributors to ensure high-quality ingredients and favorable conditions.

Position Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience leading kitchens (ideally: focus on healthy food)

Valid documents to work in the U.S.
Own vehicle.
Experience supported by solid references in the U.S.
Availability 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., weekends, and holidays (based on business needs).
Physical ability to perform the job duties (extended standing, moderate loads, cooking pace).
Current food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent).
Bilingual: Spanish and English.

Asegurar el estándar de calidad y presentación de cada plato antes de salir a sala.

Implementar y mantener protocolos de salud y seguridad (

Requisitos del puesto
