Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Base Field Supervisor for the Ft. Novosel refuel/defuel contract. This role is responsible for managing personnel, equipment, and facilities to ensure quality fuel is delivered to aircraft in accordance with timelines specified in the Government contract. The Base Field Supervisor promotes a strong culture of safety, responsibility, and operational integrity, while ensuring full accountability for Government-owned fuel. This position also ensures strict compliance with all Company policies, as well as Department of Transportation (DOT) and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) regulations. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of hot/cold refueling procedures, hot site operations, and all inspections required for the location

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

Supervise all base field personnel, ensuring professional conduct, appearance, and high-performance standards. Communicate updates regarding procedural changes, training, job postings, and documentation requirements. Oversee employee scheduling, manage absences, review timecards, handle payroll inquiries, and maintain the overtime roster.
Conduct, evaluate, and certify new employee training. Provide ongoing support to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements, and company standards.
Ensure base field buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in a clean, orderly, and compliant condition. Monitor key control, government-furnished property, and office supply inventories, coordinate replenishments as necessary.
Perform weekly and monthly environmental and hazardous waste inspections. Ensure Aqua-Glo testing procedures are followed, with complete and legible logs. Complete Fire Warden Inspection checklists and ensure daily vehicle inspection reports are accurate and verified.
Monitor bulk diesel fuel tank levels and coordinate fuel requirements with the Program Management Office and Maintenance Manager. Communicate with Above ground Storage Tank (AST) Manager regarding stage field refueler issues and fuel levels. Oversee the pace of refueling operations to ensure timely aircraft recovery during morning, afternoon, and night operations.
Conduct routine surveillance across all shifts to verify compliance with SOPs and PWS. Perform spot-checks of vehicles and verify serviceability. Monitor Aviation Resource Training System (ARTS) for aircraft updates and field closures. Track maintenance discrepancies and coordinate repairs with the Maintenance Manager.
Collect and organize all required government and company documentation for secure storage. Serve as a backup for the AST Manager and other critical roles as needed due to absences or vacancies.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Stage field and base field employees assigned.

Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, the contractor shall have a minimum of one year’s experience of primary management. Ideally, at least one year of experience in all phases of aircraft refueling and defueling.

Education and/or Experience:

High school graduate. Must be able to speak, read, and write English.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Valid Driver’s License

Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to demonstrate and train work procedures and interact with all employees that are assigned to the project. Expert knowledge of hot/cold refueling procedures, hot site operations, and all inspections required for the location. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and penmanship skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and occasionally climb a step ladder. The employee must be able to speak and hear. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the job, the employee regularly works in an outdoor setting with hot, cold, rainy conditions with some office time as well. The work performed also requires flex scheduling to accommodate different shifts of work.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
