Full Job Description

Central Office Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS :

Master’s Degree in appropriate area.

Alabama Certificate in appropriate area in K-12 School/Administration or K-12 Educational Leadership or Supervision.

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Minimum 5 years successful experience in a K-12 setting.

SALARY LEVEL : Board approved salary schedule

FLSA : Exempt

REPORTS TO : Appropriate Director

SUPERVISES : Assigned Personnel

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT :

Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the system’s approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the system.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Conducts analysis of various educational programs and materials.

Keeps informed about current trends and practices in the assigned field and disseminates professional information and materials to school staff.

Assists in the scheduling and directing of programs of professional development and participates in departmental meetings with assigned staff.

Coordinates and maintains such record keeping as necessary.

Conducts an instructional orientation program annually for all new personnel in the assigned area of responsibility.

Assists in resolving problems encountered by various stakeholders.

Participates in in-service and staff development activities and staff meetings as required or assigned.

Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policy, and state and federal rules and regulations.

Reports to work on time and is in regular attendance.

Performs other tasks as assigned by the Superintendent and/or appropriate Director.
