Position Overview:
We are seeking a Productive and Detail-Oriented Machinist to perform a variety of machining operations while maintaining high quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate is committed to professional growth, skilled in both manual and CNC machining, and thrives in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform machining operations per work orders and manager direction, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Review and understand job orders, safety guidelines, and Prime Machine quality standards.
Operate mills, lathes, and CNC machinery; maintain and improve Mastercam skills.
Plan work assignments, determine tooling and setup requirements, and organize the workspace efficiently.
Maintain proper documentation, including inspection reports, turnover notes, and non-conformance records.
Collaborate with Project Managers and supervisors, providing updates and incorporating changes.
Assist and mentor apprentice machinists to foster skill development and knowledge transfer.
Follow all safety protocols, use correct personal protective equipment, and promote a safe work environment.
Support team efforts, including cleaning, lifting, and assisting colleagues as needed.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Experience with manual and CNC machining; Mastercam experience preferred.
Proficient in reading and interpreting shop drawings and machining symbols.
Knowledge of inspection procedures and quality standards.
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Practical understanding of mechanical systems and common shop procedures.
Ability to work under pressure, remain calm in challenging situations, and maintain professionalism.
Physical ability to walk, climb, lift, bend, crawl, and reach as required in a shop environment.
