We are looking for a dedicated Nursery Sales Professional—ideally based right in or near Salt Lake City, UT—to step into a well-established sales territory across Utah, Idaho, Eastern Washington, and Montana!
Everde Growers is a leader within the horticulture industry with a true coast-to-coast footprint consisting of over 6,700 acres in production across 15 farm locations throughout Texas, Florida, California, and Oregon. Our superior growing methods and pruning practices ensure consistent quality, availability, and service for our customers nationwide.
This territory has the ability to ship from our farms across the country and offers a broad mix of trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses, and more suited to the region. The territory includes a diverse customer base consisting of Landscape, Re-wholesale, and Retail accounts. While the territory is already well-established, it is primed for continued growth over the next several years, particularly within the Independent Garden Center market.
As an Outside Sales Representative for Everde Growers, you will function as the territory manager and as a professional representative within the green industry.
Key aspects of the position include:
- Self-motivated individuals with a strong work ethic
- Building upon strong relationships with current customers
- Identifying and establishing contact with prospective customers
- Scheduling and performing product demonstrations when needed
- Developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships
- Attending industry trade shows and networking events
- Following industry trends to identify new sales opportunities
- Recommending marketing strategies and growth initiatives
- Generating and submitting sales reports
This position requires regular travel throughout the assigned territory (Utah, Idaho, Eastern Washington, and Montana), with the candidate ideally stationed in the Salt Lake City, UT area and spending approximately 50% of their time working remotely from a home office.
Qualifications:
- Ideally located in or around Salt Lake City, UT
- Experience in sales, education, training and experience within the plant nursery/horticulture/agriculture industry is highly expected and preferred, but not required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Sales and customer service acumen
In exchange for your hard work and dedication, Everde Growers offers a competitive compensation package including a base salary plus monthly team incentive opportunities and comprehensive benefits.
The onboarding and training period is compensated with a salary of $60,000 annually. Advancement into a full Outside Sales Representative role includes increased commission opportunities, car allowance, paid business expenses, and a yearly bonus plan, resulting in an annual compensation range of $75,000–$100,000+ starting year 1.
