Full Job Description

Position Summary:

This dual role Site Supervisor/Project Manager position supports our customer’s needs on-site. This site utilizes underground and surface proximity awareness systems, leaky feeder communications and vehicle management technologies. This position will be the face of PBE Axell on the customer site, will manage compliance items, will oversee a team of service technicians, perform administrative tasks as both a site supervisor and a project manager, and will be responsible for coaching team members for success.

Responsibilities:

Site Supervisor- 55% estimated time commitment

1. Oversee teams of field service technicians to assure that customer products are functioning correctly

2. Coach and develop your teams to be experts in their field

3. Plan, allocate resources, and supervise daily tasks across PAS, Leaky Feeder, and Vantage work fronts

4. Ensure work meets PBE Axell standards for quality as well has site specific expectations

5. Conduct pre-task risk assessments, toolbox talks, and on-the-job coaching

6. Manage rosters, attendance, accurate timekeeping, and employee relations

7. Coordinate access, permits, and isolations with host-mine operational teams

8. Troubleshoot commissioning and maintenance faults; escalate beyond site capability to engineering as appropriate

9. Collaborate with senior management, engineering, sales, engineering, and HR.

10. Troubleshoot installation, commissioning, and maintenance issues; escalating to engineering when appropriate

Project Manager- 35% estimated time commitment

1. Own the project schedule, milestones and resource plans; with a focus on anticipated customer needs and proactive planning regarding timelines

2. Manage scope, change control and variations; to include change orders before out-of-scope work occurs

3. Track various financials for budgetary responsibilities

4. Flag commercial risk early

5. Produce and analyze client ready progress reporting

6. Manage procurement of materials, spares and equipment schedules in conjunction with support departments responsible for these areas as needed

7. Maintain appropriate records regarding service and products utilized by the site

8. Serve as PBE Axell’s primary contact for the mine location

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Leadership and Client Liaison- 10% estimated time commitment

1. Coordinate with the mine site regarding contractor training requirements, system requirements, and MSHA requirements

2. Own site-level HSE planning, hazard identification, risk assessment, incident reporting, and investigations for your teams.

3. Maintain crew compliance, in collaboration with HR, regarding required physicals, drug and alcohol screenings, certification, and requirements of either PBE Axell or the mine site

4. Recognize when conditions are unsafe, and override scheduling as needed to stop work when conditions are not meeting standards

Education/Work Experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree in electronics, electrical and electronics equipment repair, electronic technology or other related specialty preferred

· Trade school or military training in a related field may be considered

· 5-10 years proven experience as a site supervisor, preferred experience in the mining industry or a similar safety focused industry

· 5+ years proven experience as a project manager preferred

Physical Demands:

While performing duties, the employee may be required to sit for periods of time at a computer or desk, perform duties in extreme climates, work with their hands, stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, push, pull, lift, or carry items up to 50 pounds. Additional requirements may include repetitive hand movement; fine coordination including the use of various tools and computer keyboards.

Capabilities/Skills:

· Able to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods

· Computer skills should include extensive knowledge in Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, CRM software, and shipping company platforms

· Ability to maintain and foster a safe, organized work area

· Ability to perform work duties in extreme environments; to include extreme heat and extreme cold temperatures

· Ability to perform duties in an underground environment

· Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment

· Ability to analyze abstract information, creatively solve problems, and escalate issues properly

· Ability to empower team members to embrace accountability and responsibility

· Ability to manage expectations, standards, and conflict

· Attention to detail and ability to correct as needed

· Ability to prioritize workflow to effectively meet deadlines

· Able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion

· Ability to learn, and stay up to date, with electronic installation best practices

· Ability to learn product line and future products quickly

· Ability to take verbal and/or written instruction from supervisors

· Ability to report to work on time and consistently

· Ability to report to work overtime during busy company cycles
