Full Job Description

Clinical Support Supervisor (RN)

Reports To: Director of Nursing (DON)

Position Summary

---MUST hold a valid RN license--

The Clinical Support Supervisor is a Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for supporting clinical operations through auditing, chart review, care plan management, compliance monitoring, and operational support of the nursing leadership team. This position works closely with the DON, ADON, and MDS Coordinator to ensure regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and exceptional resident care. This role is expected to provide direct resident care and work the floor as needed to support staffing coverage. You’ll work alongside the Director of Nursing and ADONs to ensure the highest quality of care, foster a positive and collaborative environment, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. Schedule

· Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts.

· Occasional schedule flexibility may be required based on facility needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Perform routine clinical audits and chart reviews.

· Review resident records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

· Audit and monitor care plans to ensure resident-centered care and regulatory compliance.

· Assist with survey preparedness and regulatory inspections.

· Support the DON, ADON, and MDS Coordinator with clinical initiatives and quality improvement efforts.

· Monitor physician orders, documentation, and follow-up compliance.

· Provide coaching and education regarding documentation standards.

· Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff.

· Work the nursing floor and provide direct resident care when coverage gaps occur.

· Assist with staffing support during call-offs or shortages.

Required Qualifications

· Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.

· Minimum three years of Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and Long-Term Care (LTC) experience.

· Experience with chart audits, clinical documentation, care plans, and regulatory compliance.

· Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and long-term care regulations.

· Experience using electronic medical record systems.

· Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· Leadership experience such as Charge Nurse, Unit Manager, MDS Nurse, Staff Development Coordinator, or ADON.

· Experience with QAPI, PDPM, and MDS processes.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to walk nursing units throughout the day.

· Ability to assist residents and staff as needed in a clinical environment.

· Ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment or residents in accordance with facility policies.
