Build Something from the Ground Up

This is not a traditional insurance sales position. We're looking for someone who wants to become the founding producer of a fast-growing insurance agency backed by a brokerage that helps more than 1,400 families buy homes every year. Average of 25–30 warm buyer referrals per week from one of Austin's top independent real estate brokerages.

Spyglass Realty is one of Austin's fastest-growing independent real estate brokerages, helping more than 1,400 families purchase homes every year. We're launching Spyglass Insurance Agency to provide homeowners, auto, umbrella, flood, landlord, and commercial insurance to our clients.

We're looking for our Founding Insurance Advisor—the first producer to join our insurance agency.

This isn't a typical insurance sales position. You'll receive a steady stream of warm referrals from our real estate agents rather than spending your day cold calling or purchasing internet leads. You'll have the opportunity to help shape the future of the agency while building lasting relationships with clients who already know and trust the Spyglass brand.

What You'll Do

Contact warm insurance referrals from Spyglass Realty agents.
Quote homeowners, auto, umbrella, renters, landlord, flood, and commercial insurance.
Compare coverage options across multiple insurance carriers.
Educate clients on their coverage options and recommend solutions that best fit their needs.
Cross-sell additional products including auto, umbrella, flood, landlord, business, and specialty insurance.
Follow up consistently throughout the home-buying process to ensure a smooth experience.
Build long-term relationships that generate recurring renewal business.
Maintain accurate client information within our CRM and agency management system.
Collaborate closely with our real estate agents, lenders, and title partners.
Help create and improve the systems and processes that will support the growth of the agency.

QualificationsRequired

Active Texas General Lines Property & Casualty License (or willingness to obtain it quickly)
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Strong organization and follow-up
Comfortable using technology and CRM systems
Self-motivated with a high level of accountability
Professional appearance and attitude

Preferred

2+ years of insurance sales experience
Experience working for an independent insurance agency
Experience quoting multiple carriers
Personal and commercial insurance experience
Experience with EZLynx or another agency management system
Familiarity working with homebuyers, mortgage lenders, or real estate professionals
