Experienced Bartender – Amara Restaurant

Join our vibrant team at Amara, where we blend Mediterranean flavors with exceptional hospitality. We are seeking a skilled and passionate bartender to elevate our guests’ dining experience with signature cocktails, personalized service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Requirements:

· Must have at least 1-year bartending experience with ample cocktail, wine and beer knowledge including recipes and various styles.

· Strong knowledge of Mediterranean-inspired cocktails and spirits (preferred).

· Familiarity with inventory management, ordering, and stocking.

· Must have experience providing excellent customer service in a high-end, fast-paced environment.

· Must be available to work nights, weekends and have a flexible schedule.

· Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail.

· Must be able to stand for extended periods.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Food handlers and TABC certifications.

· Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively under pressure with team members, including server assistants and Chefs.

Responsibilities:

· Provide guests with a warm welcoming experience, while upholding fine dining standards and anticipating their needs before they ask.

· Suggest and serve wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages that complement the restaurant’s Mediterranean menu.

· Deliver exceptional service, engaging guests in conversation about cocktail offerings, food pairings, and the restaurant experience.

· Ensure guest satisfaction and handle any concerns or complaints professionally.

· Prepare a wide variety of cocktails, including signature Mediterranean-inspired drinks, ensuring consistent presentation and quality.

· Accurately measure and mix ingredients according to recipes or customer requests.

· Be knowledgeable of all house cocktail recipes and proper presentation.

· Ensure the bar is properly set up and stocked each night for smooth service.

· Maintain bar cleanliness, wipe down all surfaces including front bar, back bar, service well. Mop at the end of shift.

· Prepare and maintain par for prep items e.g. batched mixers, bar syrups, garnishes.

· Polish all glassware needed.

· Manage bar deliveries, stock supplies, and conduct regular inventory checks.

· Adhere to all local and state alcohol service laws, including checking IDs to verify legal drinking age.

· Follow all health and safety standards, ensuring sanitary practices and cleanliness.

· Work closely with the restaurant team, including servers and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth service.

· Attend training sessions or tastings for new cocktails or seasonal menu updates to stay current.

· Collaborate with the bar team and management to develop new cocktail recipes that align with the Mediterranean theme and seasonal offerings.

· Stay updated on industry trends and bring fresh ideas to enhance the guest experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.95 - $47.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 35.0 per week
