Client Service Representative (Veterinary Receptionist)

We're looking for a full-time or part-time Client Service Representative to join our veterinary team.
This is more than answering phones and running a cash register. Our reception team keeps a busy veterinary hospital organized while making clients—and their pets—feel genuinely welcome.
If Bella is coming in at 10:00, we want you to greet Bella by name. Her name is right there on the schedule. Bella may not know your name yet, but she'll probably learn who keeps the treats.

- Can juggle phones, clients, scheduling, messages, and interruptions without losing track of details

- Have experience working daily as part of a team of at least 5 people
Being a “team player” here means actually working as part of a team—not simply successfully coexisting with one coworker.
Veterinary experience is helpful but not required. Experience in a busy medical, dental, veterinary, professional office, hospitality, or similar client-service environment is preferred.
Cashier or retail experience alone is not sufficient experience for this position.
We can teach veterinary terminology and our systems. We need you to bring the attention to detail, work ethic, people skills, and ability to keep up with a busy team.
What You'll Do
- Greet clients and their pets
- Answer phones and schedule appointments
- Check clients in and out and process payments
- Maintain accurate client and patient information
- Relay messages accurately to the medical team
- Handle prescription and medical-record requests
- Communicate clinic policies professionally
- Help keep the front desk organized and running smoothly
Some days everything happens at once: the phone rings, two clients walk in, someone needs a prescription, a technician has a question, and a Labrador has decided the front desk is where snacks live.
Being able to stay friendly and organized in the middle of that is the job is important.
Schedule
Full-Time
- 4.5 days per week
- Weekdays: 7:55 AM–5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch
- 1–2 Saturdays/month: 7:55 AM–12:00 PM
Part-Time
- Minimum 20 hours/week
- Availability in blocks of at least 4 hours
- 1–2 Saturdays/month: 7:55 AM–12:00 PM
We really do mean in blocks of at least four hours.
