Account Representative job duties:
Logistics experience/knowledge and Foodservice industry experience would be an essential asset. Starting pay is dependent on experience/education.

The Account Representative plays a vital role in building and maintaining strong relationships with carriers, booking shipments, and ensuring customers receive the best possible service and pricing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include;, but are not limited to, the following: (Other duties may be assigned)
· Build & manage orders in our transportation management systems.
· Manage and update carrier information from billing, setup, rates, fuel plans, routing locations and vendor ship points.
· Using complex problem solving and mathematics, analyze and book carriers that are the most cost-efficient, maximize capacity and add the most value to our business.
· Troubleshoot TMS issues for customers as needed.
· Maintain and own the position of primary contact for the resolution of systemic/recurring customer/shipper issues.
· Provide the Logistics Manager with the research, evaluations and recommendations on TMS and other tools within the industry.
· Establish and foster long term business relationships with new and existing carriers, brokers, and customers.
· Working with the Logistics Manager, will source potential new carriers and negotiate rates
· Collect and analyze data regarding freight and shipping locations
· Maintain carrier files, Customer files within the TMS
· Participate in weekly meetings and calls with existing carriers and brokers with the Logistics Manger
· Track load status with carriers, update all parties of issues and any changes to status
· Manage and administrate the Freight Claims Process (OS&D)
· Assist carriers with electronic onboarding
· Maintain open and clear communication between multiple departments internally and third-party providers and carriers
· Under the oversight of the Logistics Manager, resolve and communicate issues timely to all stakeholders.
· Work with the Logistics Manager to provide pricing, as requested
· Resolve and communicate issues timely
· Manage, process, and transmit incoming carrier invoices
·· Provide payment status updates as needed
Additional assignments and duties assigned by management.
· Manage special projects and initiatives to meet objectives

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred; or two to five years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Position requires 5-7 years job related experience to build a professional of expertise and knowledge. This experience should be in the food industry and inbound/outbound logistics,
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written or oral form.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
