Job Summary
Nobu Restaurant in Atlanta Georgia is seeking an Events Manager. The Events Manager is responsible for the entire life cycle of events that take place at the Nobu Atlanta property, including restaurant events, ballrooms, meeting spaces, the Rooftop, and the Villa. The primary responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and overseeing the execution of food and beverage for each event, while providing hands-on support to ensure seamless delivery and exceptional guest experiences. The Event Manager is responsible for training and overseeing the Banquet Manager and the Events Assistant. This position reports to the Food and Beverage Director and Corporate Director of Events.

Compensation

$75,000 annual base salary
Percentage-based commission on event food and beverage sales
Estimated total annual compensation of $95,000–$105,000, including base salary and estimated annual commissions of $20,000–$30,000. Actual commission earnings may vary

DUTIES

Sales & Client Relations

Manage F&B Event Client accounts for the property
Prospect new business and generate leads, mainly for the restaurant events
Upsell spaces and F+B oﬀerings
Send quotes, proposals, and ﬁnalize contracts
Organize F&B client info; manage short- and long-term planning
Coordinate client meetings for events that include F&B aspects (pre-con, post-con, site visits, tastings)
Attend internal meetings: Sales, HOD, Resume, and P&L (when available)
Coordinate and run weekly BEO meetings
Work closely with Hotel Sales Managers for Hotel Groups
Handle client communications and negotiations
Coordinate and oversee the execution of catering orders, such as drop-oﬀ and pick-up catering
Monitor sales goals for each event space, including the restaurant, the ballroom, and the Villa/Pool.
Collaborating on marketing and sales initiatives
Update events info in Delphi

BEO & Contract Creation

Develop custom menus and experiences
Facilitate the client’s AV needs with the in-house AV company
Order rentals as needed
Draft ﬂoor plans and event itineraries

Administration & Reporting

Manage and/or utilize software tools (Tripleseat, Micros, Delphi, etc.)
Handle billing, ﬁnancial reporting, forecasting, and costing
Collect COIs and communicate event details across departments
Update calendars and menus
Submit monthly commission reports for self and the Banquet Manager
Submit monthly events report to Events Director and the GM.

Managing Event Operations

Oversee and support the restaurant team in the preparation and execution of events in the restaurant and off premises.
Oversee and support the Banquet Manager in the preparation and execution of events on the hotel property.
Ensure a seamless handover by personally introducing the Banquet Manager to the client upon arrival whenever possible.
Work with the HODs to maintain Nobu standard of service and quality of the products
Communicate with the HODs about the needs for upcoming events
Communicate with the Hotel Team about any stationery and Nobu-branded water required for meeting functions.
Create SOPs for billing and POS entering
Set standards for the buﬀet displays and visuals to match brand aesthetics

Below items are the main duties of the Banquet Manager; however, in the absence of the Banquet Manager, they must be handled by the Events Manager or other Restaurant Managers.

Lead and train banquet team (Captains & Serving Staff)
Manage banquet staffing and scheduling
Ensure safety protocols, venue cleanliness, and guest satisfaction
Conduct site inspections, manage maintenance, and report issues
Manage inventory and equipment including rentals
Process payments
Communicate product stock level with HODs
storage space oversight
Troubleshoot complaints and ensure quality control
Create SOPs for setups and equipment use

Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
