Krenzen Auto Mall is looking for a motivated, dependable Automotive Sales Consultant who can take ownership of their business, manage customers from start to finish, and work independently as part of a successful sales team.
We are a family-owned dealership that has served the Twin Ports community for more than 55 years. Our sales team has historically experienced low turnover because we offer a stable workplace, strong earning potential, excellent benefits, and an environment where successful employees can build a long-term career.
This position is a great fit for someone who is self-motivated, resourceful, comfortable talking with people, and able to figure things out without needing constant direction.
What You'll Be Responsible For
As a Sales Consultant, you will manage your customers throughout the entire vehicle-shopping process. This includes:
- Greeting customers and identifying their wants, needs, and budget
- Learning Krenzen's new and pre-owned vehicle inventory
- Demonstrating vehicles and conducting test drives
- Answering customer questions and handling objections professionally
- Following up consistently with internet leads, phone leads, and previous customers
- Using our CRM to manage leads, appointments, follow-up, and customer communication
- Working with sales managers and finance staff to complete transactions
- Maintaining communication with customers before, during, and after the sale
- Prospecting and creating your own opportunities instead of relying exclusively on walk-in traffic
- Staying organized and managing multiple customers and tasks throughout the day
- Finding solutions when problems arise rather than waiting for someone else to solve them
The Person We're Looking For
Automotive sales experience is not required. However, independence, initiative, and personal accountability are required.
Successful people in this position tend to be:
- Self-motivated: You can manage your day and stay productive without someone constantly checking on you.
- Problem solvers: When something doesn't go according to plan, your first instinct is to look for a solution.
- Organized: You can keep track of customers, appointments, follow-up, paperwork, and multiple priorities.
- Persistent: You understand that sales requires consistent follow-up and that customers don't always respond the first time.
- Comfortable communicating: You can talk confidently with customers in person, over the phone, by text, and through email.
- Accountable: You take responsibility for your customers, your follow-up, and your results.
- Coachable: You are willing to learn, accept feedback, and improve.
- Reliable: Your coworkers and customers can count on you to show up and follow through.
- Competitive and goal-oriented: You are motivated by achieving goals and improving your performance.
- Resourceful: You are comfortable using available information, technology, and dealership resources to find answers.
We will provide training on our vehicles, systems, processes, and the automotive industry. We are not looking for someone who needs to be continually reminded what to do next.

Sales Experience Isn't Required
Some of our strongest salespeople have come from outside the automotive industry.
Experience in areas such as customer service, hospitality, restaurants, retail, banking, wireless sales, real estate, insurance, business development, or other customer-facing positions can translate extremely well into automotive sales.
What matters most is your drive, judgment, communication skills, work ethic, and ability to take ownership of your responsibilities.
If you're looking for a position where someone gives you a checklist of what to do every hour, this probably isn't the right job.
If you're someone who likes working with people, solving problems, creating opportunities, and being rewarded for your performance, we'd like to meet you.
