Full Job Description

Details: Full-Time position, Day Shift 6:00am-4:30pm.

Summary/Objective:

CMM Operators (CO)
- Operate the CMM and use hand tools to inspect product, along with documentation review and approval
- Maintain the environment around the CMM to insure consistent results

Functions:

Visual and dimensional inspection of first piece, in-process products and/or operation specific characteristics/features
Depending on location and assignment, the CO may also inspect finished goods, OV and incoming products
Document appropriate results within the paperless system, or appropriate CMM report
Error Recovery (Clear errors, and more importantly, understands what just happened and why)
Interpret CMM Reports. (Understand and explain CMM reports to others)
Maintain probe cleanliness and calibration
House Keeping. (CMM machine and Room are Kept Clean and Orderly)

Competencies:

Speak, read, and write the English language
Competent in the STE paperless routing interface.
Capable of reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and standards
Able to use and understand GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
Ability to use all handheld and surface plate measurement devices
Analytical and methodical
Computer literacy

Required Education and/or Experience:

High school education or equivalent
90 days of relative experience or training
One year of relative experience or training preferred

Physical Capabilities:

Vision abilities required are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Stand, walk, and sit frequently
Use fingers to grasp, move, or measure objects/products/measurement devices.
Must be able to lift approximately (40) lbs. as/if required.

Must be able to pass a physical, drug (including marijuana) and background check.
