Full Job Description

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Water Truck Driver based out of our Archbald Quarry in our East Region. This role is responsible for operating a water truck for dust suppression, supporting plant and quarry grounds maintenance, and safely operating haul trucks as needed to support production.

Day to Day

Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
Operate water truck to control dust on haul roads, plant areas, and stockpiles
Maintain proper road conditions by applying water evenly and adjusting for weather and traffic conditions
Perform daily pre-operational inspections and basic maintenance (fluids, tires, lights, etc.) on assigned equipment
Safely operate haul trucks to transport raw materials within the quarry as required
Assist with plant groundskeeping duties including:
- Shoveling, sweeping, and cleanup of spillage around crushers, conveyors, and work areas
- Removing debris, mud, and material buildup
- Supporting general housekeeping to maintain safe and clean work environments
Follow traffic patterns and maintain awareness of other mobile equipment and personnel
Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and coworkers via radio
Identify and report equipment issues, hazards, or unsafe conditions
Assist maintenance or plant personnel as needed during downtime
Adhere to all MSHA regulations, company safety policies, and environmental guidelines
Maintain accurate records of inspections and work activities as required
Perform Labor and other duties or responsibilities as assigned
Various work duties as needed

About You

6 months Water Truck or Truck driving experience
Experience with water pumps (any and all) preferred
Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
Use of common sense.
Able to follow instructions.
Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
Positive, Team-based attitude
The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)

Working Conditions

While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
