What’s in it for you:

· $55,000-$65,000 annual salary (based on experience)

· Bi-weekly pay.

· 6 days of sick pay annually.

As the Sous Chef, you will:

· Work with chef to create daily specials.

· Ensure that all staff prepares menu items following recipes and yield guides, according to Executive Chef standards.

· Develop new, inspired menu items that continuously elevate guest experiences.

· Work on the line during service hours and assist wherever needed.

· Ensure that quality and details are being maintained.

· Monitor and manage staff to ensure that state sanitation/health regulations are met or exceeded.

· Inspect the cleanliness of the line, floor, and all kitchen stations; direct staff to rectify any deficiencies.

· Maintain proper storage procedures as specified by Health Department

· Partner with Executive Chef to always ensure effective communication with line cooks and service staff.

· Ensure service staff are informed of 86’d items and amount of available menu items throughout meal service time.

· Take physical inventory of food items daily to prepare and place the daily produces, meat and seafood orders.

· Promote positive guest experiences and build relationships that create ongoing loyalty.

· Actively observe guest reaction and confer with service staff to ensure guest satisfaction.

· Exhibit a friendly, helpful and courteous attitude when dealing with guests and fellow Kennebec team members.

· A self-starter mentality with demonstrated success working in similar role.

· Excellent communication and dedicated to team performance.

· Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.

· Experience managing kitchen and staff.

· A passion for best practices and staying current on food trends.

· Ability to quickly address emergency situations with grace.

· Confidence to help find solutions to any issues that arise.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
