About Neo Sushi Express

Neo Sushi Express is a fast-paced, all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant committed to providing exceptional guest service, maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment, and creating an enjoyable dining experience for every guest.

Our team is the face of the restaurant. We believe every guest should feel welcomed from the moment they walk through the door until they leave.

We're looking for friendly, dependable team members who enjoy working with people and take pride in providing outstanding customer service.

Previous restaurant experience is welcome, but not required. We're happy to train the right person.

Position Overview

As a Cashier, you are often the first and last person our guests interact with. Your role is much more than operating a register. You'll welcome guests, explain our unique dining experience, answer questions, maintain the dining room, and help create a positive atmosphere throughout every shift.

Because Neo Sushi Express operates differently than a traditional restaurant, we value team members who enjoy interacting with guests and can confidently explain how our restaurant works to first-time visitors.

Responsibilities

Welcome every guest with a friendly and professional attitude.
Ask first-time guests if they have dined with us before and provide a personalized explanation of how our restaurant works.
Explain how to order hot menu items and how the conveyor belt dining experience operates.
Answer guest questions and provide assistance throughout their visit.
Process guest transactions accurately using our POS system.
Handle cash responsibly and follow all cash handling procedures.
Answer incoming phone calls and assist with general questions.
Refer questions you are unsure about to a Shift Leader or Manager.
Bus, clean, and reset tables promptly.
Maintain a clean and organized cashier station.
Help maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the dining room.
Restock the Side Station throughout the shift as needed.
Complete assigned opening and closing responsibilities.
Stay productive during slower periods by cleaning, stocking, organizing, or helping teammates.
Follow all company food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

Friendly and positive attitude.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Reliable transportation.
Weekend availability preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Non-slip shoes required while working.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous cashier or customer service experience.
Restaurant experience is a plus but not required.
Comfortable learning new technology and POS systems.
