We are a well-established behavioral health organization providing high-quality mental health services throughout Minnesota. Our organization has built a strong reputation for delivering person-centered, recovery-focused care through Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS), Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) programming.

As we continue to strengthen and expand our service lines, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Clinical Director / Treatment Director to join our leadership team. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence clinical excellence, mentor staff, shape program development, and contribute to the long-term growth of a respected organization committed to serving individuals with serious and persistent mental illness.

Position Summary

The Clinical Director / Treatment Director serves as the clinical leader for Evident Social Services' behavioral health programs, providing oversight and direction for clinical operations, treatment services, staff supervision, quality assurance, and program development.

The individual in this role will ensure that all clinical services meet Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) standards, professional licensing requirements, payer expectations, and evidence-based treatment practices. The Clinical Director / Treatment Director will work closely with executive leadership to support ongoing program expansion, strengthen clinical outcomes, and maintain the organization's commitment to excellence.

Leadership Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership and Oversight

Provide clinical leadership across IRTS, ARMHS, DBT, and other behavioral health programs.
Promote a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, professionalism, and compassionate care.
Guide treatment philosophy and clinical service delivery.
Ensure adherence to ethical standards, professional practice guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Serve as a resource and mentor to clinical and program staff.
Support strategic planning initiatives and organizational growth objectives.

Clinical Supervision and Staff Development

Provide individual and group clinical supervision to Mental Health Professionals and clinical staff.
Support staff in assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and intervention strategies.
Conduct documentation reviews and provide coaching to improve clinical quality.
Foster staff development through mentoring, consultation, and training.
Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and retention of high-quality clinical professionals.
Promote a positive and collaborative work environment.

IRTS Program Oversight

Provide oversight of treatment services within the Intensive Residential Treatment Services program.
Review and monitor treatment plans, assessments, progress notes, and discharge planning activities.
Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
Ensure services are delivered in accordance with Minnesota DHS requirements and best practices.
Support program quality improvement initiatives and client outcome monitoring.

DBT Program Leadership

Provide clinical oversight of DBT services and program implementation.
Support DBT-informed treatment approaches throughout the organization.
Facilitate or oversee DBT consultation processes and clinical case reviews.
Ensure fidelity to evidence-based treatment models.
Assist with development and expansion of DBT programming and service offerings.

ARMHS Program Oversight

Ensure ARMHS services are clinically sound, compliant, and outcome-driven.
Review Functional Assessments, Treatment Plans, and Rehabilitation Service documentation.
Support ARMHS practitioners in achieving quality and productivity expectations.
Monitor compliance with medical necessity and service authorization requirements.
Assist with program growth and community partnerships.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

Conduct routine clinical audits and documentation reviews.
Monitor compliance with Minnesota DHS regulations and payer requirements.
Identify compliance risks and implement corrective action plans when necessary.
Assist with licensing reviews, site visits, and audits.
Develop quality improvement initiatives to strengthen clinical outcomes and operational performance.
Ensure billing documentation supports services rendered.

Program Development and Strategic Growth

Collaborate with executive leadership to support expansion of existing service lines.
Assist in developing new behavioral health programs and treatment initiatives.
Strengthen referral relationships with hospitals, clinics, counties, and community partners.
Support organizational goals related to service accessibility, census growth, and community impact.
Participate in strategic planning and leadership initiatives.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Master's Degree or Doctoral Degree in:
Social Work
Counseling
Marriage and Family Therapy
Psychology
Behavioral Health or related field
Current Minnesota licensure in good standing:
LICSW
LPCC
LMFT
LP
Other independently licensed mental health professional recognized by Minnesota DHS
Minimum three (3) years of clinical behavioral health experience.
Minimum two (2) years of leadership, supervisory, or program management experience.
Experience working with adults experiencing serious and persistent mental illness.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience within IRTS programs.
Experience with ARMHS services.
Experience implementing or supervising DBT programming.
Experience with DHS licensing and regulatory compliance.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
Experience with program development and service expansion.
Strong understanding of Minnesota behavioral health systems and regulations.
