Overview

Join our growing team as a Construction Project Manager Associate and play a vital role in multifamily and single family projects from inception to completion. This energetic position offers the opportunity to collaborate with skilled professionals in real estate development and construction managment. You will be instrumental in coordinating construction plans, managing teams, and driving project success with precision and enthusiasm. Responsibilities

Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating day-to-day construction activities across active job sites.
Support senior construction managers and superintendents with project budgeting, cost tracking, and change order documentation.
Monitor job site progress to ensure work is performed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to schedule deliveries and confirm scope of work.
Conduct regular site walkthroughs to track quality control, identify potential issues, and document progress with photos and reports.
Help prepare and maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, punch lists, and daily field reports.
Assist with permitting, inspections, and ensuring compliance with local building codes and OSHA safety regulations.
Participate in project meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams, taking notes and following up on action items.
Support close-out activities, including final inspections, punch list completion, and turnover documentation.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in construction management, field engineering, or a related construction/project coordination role.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred; equivalent field experience will be considered.
Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control practices.
Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar) is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel between job sites in the Chicago .

Preferred Skills

Prior experience with residential, multifamily, or affordable housing construction projects.
Basic understanding of construction estimating and budgeting.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, given collaboration with a diverse subcontractor and workforce base.
