Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Afternoon Tea Cook for WEEKENDS to join our team. In this role, you will support the daily operations of our bakery by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the culinary arts and a strong understanding of food handling and safety practices.

MINIMUM 2 YEARS WORKING IN RESTRAUNT, FINE DINING OR CAFE REQUIRED

Your Set Schedule Each Week:

Saturdays: 7 am-4:30 PM
Sundays: 7 am- 4:30 PM

If available Fridays or any other weekdays would be preferable but not required

Responsibilities

- Prepare brunch service items such as quiches, pancakes, etc

- Prepare savory finger sandwiches to order along with other afternoon tea items such as mini tarts, scones, clotted creams.

- Prep station before tables arrive

- Prep finger sandwich fillings such as: chicken salad, chickpea salad, cucumber dill filling, etc

- Assist cleaning dishes and putting them away.
- Assist in the preparation of baked goods, including measuring ingredients

-making brunch items such as pancakes, eggs benedict, and preparing lunch and breakfast items to order
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and bakery area.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, mixers, and knives.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production and delivery of baked items.
- Participate in training sessions on food handling and safety procedures.

Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment.

- 2 Year Minimum working in culinary or industry
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Familiarity with basic culinary techniques and equipment operation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings or weekends as required.
- A passion for baking and an eagerness to learn about the fine dining experience is a plus.

Work times Tuesday, Wednesday then Friday -Sunday 9-5pm and starting in April working 7am (brunch begins)

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
