Full Job Description

FSQA Manager

Alla Grande Fine Foods, LLC | Full-Time | On-site

Alla Grande Fine Foods, LLC (Flying Meatballs) is looking for an FSQA Manager to lead our food safety and quality program. This is a hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the CEO, responsible for driving SQF compliance, food safety, and product quality across our production facility.

Responsibilities

Manage the facility quality program to current SQF Code, achieving high and improving audit scores
Build and maintain a robust, efficient cleaning, food safety, and quality program
Distribute SQF execution and verification tasks across all personnel
Ensure food safety meets or exceeds federal and customer requirements, including HACCP, SSOP, GMPs, and SQF Code
Create and improve SQF-related systems; oversee monitoring, recordkeeping, and documentation
Ensure raw materials and products are identified and traceable at all stages; test traceability annually
Ensure products consistently meet internal and customer specifications, with attention to weights, labeling accuracy, and sensory characteristics
Train and provide input on food safety/quality evaluations for all personnel
Promote safe operations among staff
Drive production goals (quality, safety, yields, efficiency) through systems, policies, procedures, and Work Instructions
Coach managers to become effective instructors and coaches to their teams
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

4-year college degree in a relevant field
Certification in HACCP principles, SQF Practitioner, and/or PCQI
Experience in food production in a regulated product safety environment; meat production experience preferred
Minimum 2 years leading at least 2 direct reports
Demonstrated SQF, food safety, and HACCP knowledge and hands-on leadership experience
Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, email, network systems)
Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization
Highly reliable, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Comfortable with basic technology and machinery management in a food production environment

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 40 lbs.
Manual dexterity to operate equipment and demonstrate production tasks
Ability to stand/work on feet for up to 6 hours

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
