Full Job Description

Concrete Mixer Assembly Technician

Build complete machines start-to-finish — not one station on a line. Evening shifts open.

Holcombe Mixers Ault, Colorado (Weld County) On-site, Full-Time

Pay & Schedule

Base pay: $24.00 – $30.00/hour, based on experience
Evening-shift premium: +$1.50/hour ($25.50 – $31.50/hour on 2nd shift)
4-day work week — 10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday. No weekends. No rotating 12s.
Friday overtime regularly available (5–8 hrs at time-and-a-half) for those who want the extra earnings
1st shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM 2nd shift: 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM

Realistic earnings: roughly $60,000 – $80,000/year with typical Friday overtime — plus full benefits and a real path to higher pay.

Where We Are — Know Your Drive Before You Apply

We’re in Ault, CO, just north of Greeley. Most of our team lives within a 20–30 minute drive. Typical commute times:

Greeley: ~15 min Eaton / Ault: 5–10 min
Windsor / Severance: ~20 min Pierce / Nunn / Kersey: ~15–20 min
Fort Collins / Loveland: ~30–40 min Cheyenne, WY: ~40 min

Please be honest with yourself about the drive. Our best people live north and east of Greeley. If you’re coming from south of Loveland, west Fort Collins, or the Denver metro, this is a 45+ minute drive each way — a tough daily haul long-term. We’d rather find the right long-term fit than have a great tech burn out on the commute after two weeks.

About Holcombe Mixers

We build volumetric concrete mixer machines — truck-mounted equipment trusted by civil construction and ready-mix contractors across the U.S. We’re a growing American manufacturer where craftsmanship matters and people aren’t a number. You’ll see the machine you built roll out the door, and you’ll have room to grow as we scale.

What You’ll Do

Assemble and install mixer components, sub-assemblies, and complete volumetric mixer machines from work orders and blueprints
Work hands-on with hydraulics, mechanical drive systems, fasteners, hand and power tools, and 12V electrical wiring
Mount components to truck chassis and verify fit, torque, and function
Complete electrical testing of finished machines; assist with electrical troubleshooting alongside our Quality team
Pull and verify parts for weekly sub-assembly and assembly orders
Operate a forklift to move and restock sub-assemblies (we’ll certify you if needed)
Sign off on quality checklists and keep a safe, clean, organized work area

Who We’re Looking For

You’ll do well here if you’ve worked as a/an:

Mechanic (auto / diesel / heavy equipment / ag) Welder or fabricator Heavy-equipment or truck-equipment assembler Hydraulics tech Maintenance tech Mechanically-inclined hard worker ready to learn

Required:

Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with tools and machinery
Ability to read and follow work orders, instructions, and basic blueprints
High school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license
A reliable, safe, team-first work ethic — and a commute you can sustain long-term

A plus (but we’ll train the right person):

Manufacturing, equipment-assembly, welding, diesel, or hydraulics experience
Forklift certification Basic 12V electrical knowledge
Bilingual (English/Spanish) — a plus, not a requirement

No mixer experience required. If you’re mechanically minded and dependable, we will train you on our product.
