Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Muay Thai Instructor to join our dynamic fitness and martial arts team. In this role, you will lead engaging Muay Thai classes, teaching techniques rooted in traditional Thai boxing while fostering a motivating environment for students of all ages and skill levels. Your expertise will inspire confidence, promote physical fitness, and cultivate a love for martial arts. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your skills, motivate others, and contribute to a vibrant community dedicated to health, discipline, and self-improvement.

Duties

Design and deliver comprehensive Muay Thai training sessions tailored to various skill levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners
Demonstrate proper technique for punches, kicks, elbows, knees, and defensive movements in accordance with safety standards
Monitor participants’ progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills and confidence
Ensure all classes are conducted in a safe environment by enforcing proper behavior management and safety protocols
Maintain equipment and training space cleanliness and organization
Educate students on the history, philosophy, and cultural significance of Muay Thai as part of their learning experience
Communicate effectively with students, parents (if applicable), and team members to foster motivation and engagement

Experience

Proven experience in martial arts training, specifically in Muay Thai or related disciplines such as Boxing or other formal group and private teaching.
Prior coaching or teaching experience in sports or physical education settings
Knowledge of sports-specific training instruction techniques and coaching methodologies
Experience working with diverse age groups, including children and teens, with strong childcare skills
Familiarity with martial arts operations or gym environments is preferred
Certifications in AED operation (Automated External Defibrillator) are highly desirable
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage behavior effectively
