Full Job Description

You will help maintain the community's buildings, grounds, apartments, and equipment while supporting a positive living experience for residents. As a Maintenance Assistant, you'll play an important role in ensuring our community remains safe, functional, and beautiful for residents, families, and team members.

Perform general maintenance and repairs, including basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance, painting, and carpentry work.
Assist with preventative maintenance programs to ensure community systems operate efficiently.
Help maintain compliance with safety standards, building regulations, and community policies.

Assist residents with approved move-in requests such as hanging pictures, installing shelves, mounting clocks, and other approved accommodations.

Assist with landscaping, seasonal projects, and general grounds maintenance as needed.

Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance records, inventory logs, and preventative maintenance schedules.
Work collaboratively with all departments to support resident satisfaction and community operations.
Participate in emergency response procedures and resident evacuation efforts when necessary.

Qualifications

At least two years of maintenance experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or multifamily housing environments.
Valid driver license and clean driving record.
Knowledge of OSHA, Life Safety Code, and building safety standard.

Experience in at least two of the following areas:
Carpentry
Plumbing
Painting
HVAC
General repairs
Refurbishing
Facility maintenance

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude when interacting with residents, families, vendors, and team members.
