About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to lead all aspects of human resources for our growing team. The Payroll Specialist at Approved Mortgage is the go-to person for all employee-related issues. You’ll oversee everything from onboarding to benefits administration, and employee engagement. In short, you’ll be the heartbeat of our people operations. The one to ensure we have a happy and productive workplace where everyone works to realize our established mission and objectives.

What You’ll Do

Lead all HR functions including onboarding, and benefits
Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees on HR matters
Employee relations
Administer payroll and benefits with accuracy and discretion
Maintain and improve HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks
Monitor compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations
Drive culture initiatives, recognition programs, and internal communication strategies
Partner with leadership to align HR strategy with company growth goals
Miscellaneous company administrative duties
Provide support for accounting department as needed

Experience in HR position
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
Proven ability to build trust, foster collaboration, and influence positive outcomes
Hands-on approach—comfortable switching between strategic planning and administrative execution
Experience in financial services, mortgage, or real estate industry is a plus
