Tax Preparer
Edmond, Oklahoma
$75,000 to $95,000

A tax role where you can keep building

You may enjoy the technical side of tax but feel ready for more than simply getting through another stack of returns.

Perhaps you want more exposure to clients.

Perhaps you want to work more closely with experienced professionals who can help you improve.

Or perhaps you want to join a smaller CPA firm where your work is visible and you are not just one person in a large production team.

This independent CPA firm in Edmond OK is looking for a Tax Preparer who wants to strengthen their technical skills while taking on more responsibility over time.

You will work across a varied client base, prepare individual and business tax returns, support planning work, and have the opportunity to learn directly from senior members of the firm.

What you will be doing

You will work across partnerships, S Corporations, C Corporations, and other entities depending on your experience.

You will organize and review client information, identify missing items, and help keep engagements moving.

You will communicate with clients to gather information and resolve straightforward tax questions.

You will support senior team members with tax planning and more complex engagements.

You will also help make sure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.

As you develop, you can take on greater client contact and broader responsibility.

Who this role may suit

You may already be working as a Tax Preparer or Tax Staff within public accounting.

You may also be earlier in your career but have enough hands on tax experience to work with a reasonable level of independence.

You should have a solid understanding of individual and business tax preparation and be comfortable working through deadlines during busy periods.

The firm will value someone who is accurate, dependable, willing to ask good questions, and interested in continuing to develop.
