Interim Lead Direct Support Professional

Residential Crisis Program| Shingle Springs, CA

$23 - $26.50/hour

AM Shift (6:00 am - 2:00 pm) Sunday to Thursday or PM Shift (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm) Thursday to Monday

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Interim Lead Direct Support Professional to support our residential and crisis home programs. This is an opportunity to bring your field expertise to a supportive environment and presents an opportunity for growth into a Lead Direct Support Professional.

Position Summary

As an Interim Lead Direct Service Professional (DSP), you’ll be an active part of our residential crisis programs supporting adults. Your responsibilities include:

Provide care and supervision to residents, ensuring safety and well-being at all times
Communicate effectively with residents to support understanding and informed decision-making
Assist with prescribed medications when applicable and under proper authorization
Complete Medication Assistance Records (MARs) accurately and on time
Support health and emergency procedures, including fire safety response
Identify, document, and report special incidents and suspected abuse as required by law
Ensure compliance with residents’ IPPs and protect resident rights
Assist residents with daily living activities including hygiene, mobility, meals, and community access
Attend medical appointments and report outcomes to supervisors
Participate in crisis intervention using CPI and Ukeru principles
Ensure residents are always supervised by responsible staff
Maintain accurate and timely documentation (case notes, incident reports, logs, timesheets)
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment
Follow all agency policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and required continuing education
Communicate relevant updates regarding residents’ progress, needs, and goals
Support development and implementation of behavior plans and assessments
Respond to emails, texts, and other communications in a timely manner
Report safety concerns, injuries, or hazards immediately
Request necessary supplies and equipment as needed
Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and consistent attendance

Qualifications

Required

Minimum of 6 months experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in an ABA environment and displaying severe verbal and physical behaviors
Minimum of 3 months experience serving in a supervisory/managerial position with direct reports.
Availability to work every weekend
Willingness to obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 90-days of hire

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to lift, transfer, and assist individuals as needed
Ability to perform physical aspects of residential care and crisis response

Compensation:

$23 - $26.50/hour
Incentive pay factored into hourly rate for premium shifts on schedule
