Full Job Description

Quality Manager

Location: East Side of El Paso, 79927
Reports To: Management
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Schedule: Mon.- Fri. (Overtime may be required based on business needs).

Language: English | Bilingual (preferred)

Position Summary:

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and managing all quality assurance and quality control functions within an IT server manufacturing environment. This role ensures that products, processes, and systems meet internal standards, industry certifications, and customer requirements. The Quality Manager drives continuous improvement initiatives, oversees compliance activities, and partners cross-functionally to deliver high-reliability server products with exceptional quality performance.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s quality management system (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and applicable IT hardware manufacturing standards.
Establish and communicate quality goals, KPIs, and quality policies to support operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Lead quality planning for new products, engineering changes, and process improvements.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

Ensure compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards (UL, CE, RoHS, REACH, etc.).
Oversee internal and external quality audits, including certification audits, supplier audits, and customer audits.
Ensure proper documentation control, including work instructions, test procedures, and inspection standards.
Manage in-process and final inspection activities for server components, assemblies, and finished products.
Oversee functional testing, burn-in testing, and reliability validation to ensure server performance meets defined criteria.
Implement effective root cause analysis (RCA), corrective actions (CAPA), and preventive actions to resolve issues.
Work closely with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and NPI teams to ensure quality is embedded at each stage of manufacturing.
Participate in failure analysis for field returns and warranty claims; lead corrective actions with suppliers and internal teams.
Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, PFMEA, control plans, and statistical process control (SPC).

Supplier Quality Management

Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions for non-conforming materials.
Develop supplier audits, qualification processes, and incoming inspection strategies.
Partner with suppliers to improve material reliability, documentation accuracy, and overall quality.
Manage and develop quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians.
Provide training on quality tools, standards, and best practices.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Education & Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related technical field required.

· 5+ years of experience in manufacturing quality management, preferably in IT hardware, servers, electronics, or PCBA production with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role

· Experience with ISO 9001 QMS implementation and audit leadership.

· Experience in high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environments preferred.

Skills & Competencies

· Strong leadership and people-management abilities.

· Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement.

· Understanding safety regulations, quality systems, and production planning.

· Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

· Ability to analyze data and interpret production metrics.

· Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Essential Functions (ADA & Workers’ Comp Ready)

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on IT equipment.
Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs. of networking equipment.
Ability to access plant floors and data centers, including climbing ladders or kneeling to connect hardware.
Clear verbal and written communication to support troubleshooting and documentation.

Work Environment:

· C Climate-controlled warehouse/assembly facility

· Frequent interaction with production lines and warehouse areas

· Frequent walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and interaction with warehouse and production teams
