Full Job Description

Medical Front Desk Receptionist Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a position for a front desk/receptionist position for physical therapy outpatient clinic serving people in the El Paso and Las Cruces region. As front desk/receptionist, you will be delegated the position of overseeing administrative duties:

Medical Front Desk Receptionist Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors in a warm, professional manner
Scheduling of patients, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
Calling doctors’ offices • Assist with filing, scanning, faxing, and other administrative duties as needed.
Answering telephone calls, faxes and emails from patients or Dr’s offices and directing them to relevant staff
Take messages, and return calls as needed • Verify insurance coverage, obtain authorizations, and collect necessary patient documentation, as well as claim submissions
Process patient check-in and check-out, including collecting payments and issuing receipts.
Maintain organized and accurate patient records in the EMR system.
Communicate effectively with therapists and other staff regarding scheduling or patient needs.
Monitoring inventory for office supplies and equipment supplies
Respond to record requests
Collect and sort all mail and packages
Maintain a clean and organized front desk and reception area.

Medical Front Desk Receptionist Knowledge & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred).
Knowledge of insurance verification and medical terminology is a plus.
Administrative experience in healthcare setting or clerical is preferred
Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning clinic-specific EMR systems. Friendly, professional demeanor with a strong commitment to patient care
Ability to type accurately and efficiently

Medical Front Desk Receptionist Pay & Schedule:

Monday to Thursday 7:45 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Thursday (an hour lunch)
Friday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Starting $12 - $14 per hour (Based on Experience)
