We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Therapist to join our mental health and behavioral health team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and counseling services to diverse client populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapies in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The Therapist will play a vital role in supporting clients through crisis management, behavioral interventions, and recovery processes, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Experience with telehealth platforms is preferred to facilitate remote therapy sessions.

Duties

Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT coding, and medical terminology
Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and clinical best practices
Provide individual, group, family, or couples therapy using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, or applied behavior analysis
Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to support clients experiencing acute mental health issues
Offer specialized counseling for PTSD care, grief counseling, addiction counseling, chronic pain management, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
Facilitate intake procedures and coordinate case management activities for ongoing patient care
Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical records and ensure accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes
Participate in clinical research projects or data collection initiatives to enhance therapeutic approaches
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, special educators, medical professionals, and case managers to optimize client outcomes
Utilize telehealth platforms effectively for remote therapy sessions when applicable

Qualifications

Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field; licensure as required by state regulations
Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, or addiction counseling
Strong knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems and CPT coding for documentation purposes
Experience working with children & family counseling, pediatrics, geriatrics, or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including those with autism spectrum disorder or developmental disabilities
Telehealth experience preferred; comfortable using digital platforms for remote patient care
Knowledge of medical terminology and medical records management in behavioral health settings
Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA standards
