Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly creative Commercial Video Producer / Shooter / Editor to join our growing creative and production team. This is a hands-on role responsible for taking video projects from concept through final delivery, including pre-production, production, post-production, and final asset delivery.
The ideal candidate is a producer, shooter, editor, and visual storyteller who understands how to create compelling commercial content that performs across television, digital advertising, social media, and other marketing channels.
You should be equally comfortable developing a production plan, operating a professional camera, directing talent on set, managing lighting and audio, and sitting in the editing suite to turn raw footage into polished, high-performing content.
This position requires demonstrated experience producing commercial content for TV broadcast and a strong understanding of broadcast standards, advertising requirements, digital platforms, and social media content.
You will work closely with our creative, marketing, and client teams to translate concepts and creative briefs into finished video assets. During high-volume production periods, this individual will also help coordinate other shooters, editors, and creative resources to ensure projects remain on schedule and meet our quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Production
- Translate creative concepts, scripts, and briefs into executable production plans.
- Develop shot lists, production schedules, equipment requirements, and location plans.
- Identify production needs, including cameras, lenses, lighting, audio, stabilization, props, and other equipment.
- Coordinate with creative, marketing, account, and production teams to ensure everyone is aligned before production begins.
- Review scripts and concepts and provide creative and production recommendations.
- Identify potential production challenges before shoot day and develop solutions.
- Prepare talent, locations, equipment, and production logistics for successful shoots.
Production / On-Set
- Produce and shoot professional-quality commercials, advertisements, interviews, testimonials, branded content, and social media assets.
- Operate professional cinema and DSLR camera systems and a variety of lenses.
- Design and execute professional lighting setups appropriate for the creative concept and location.
- Capture clean, professional-quality audio using appropriate microphones and recording equipment.
- Direct talent, clients, and non-actors to achieve natural and compelling performances.
- Provide creative direction on framing, composition, camera movement, lighting, pacing, and visual storytelling.
- Manage on-set workflow and ensure production stays on schedule.
- Troubleshoot technical and production issues quickly and professionally.
- Maintain a professional and organized set environment.
- Ensure all required footage, audio, and supporting assets are captured before leaving a location.
Post-Production
- Edit commercials and video content from raw footage through final delivery.
- Create content for television, paid social, organic social, YouTube, websites, and digital advertising campaigns.
- Perform color correction and basic color grading.
- Perform audio cleanup, mixing, and leveling.
- Create basic motion graphics, lower thirds, captions, transitions, logo animations, and other visual enhancements.
- Create multiple versions of content for different audiences, campaigns, platforms, and placements.
- Repurpose long-form footage into short-form content for social and digital advertising.
- Maintain organized project files, footage, assets, and editing timelines.
- Manage post-production workflows to ensure projects move efficiently from rough cut through final approval.
- Export and deliver final assets according to required specifications.
Broadcast & Digital Delivery
- Prepare broadcast-ready deliverables that meet station and media-buying specifications.
- Understand codecs, frame rates, resolution, audio levels, file formats, and other broadcast requirements.
- Ensure final content meets platform-specific technical requirements.
- Produce multiple aspect ratios and versions, including:
- 16:9
- 9:16
- 1:1
- Other platform-specific formats as needed
- Ensure video assets are properly formatted for television, YouTube, Meta, Instagram, TikTok, and other digital platforms.
Creative Collaboration
- Partner with the creative and marketing teams to turn concepts into compelling visual stories.
- Provide production feedback during the creative development process.
- Help identify opportunities to improve creative concepts based on production capabilities and audience engagement.
- Collaborate with writers, designers, marketers, account teams, and other creative professionals.
- Contribute creative ideas and visual approaches to campaigns.
- Help establish and maintain consistent visual standards across video content.
Team Coordination & Leadership
- Coordinate with other shooters, editors, creators, and production resources when multiple projects are running simultaneously.
- Help prioritize production schedules and ensure deadlines are met.
- Provide guidance and creative direction to other video team members when needed.
- Review footage and finished work from other creators and provide constructive feedback.
- Help establish efficient production and post-production workflows.
- Maintain consistent quality standards across all video output.
- Step into a leadership role during high-volume production periods without losing hands-on involvement.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Proven professional experience producing and editing commercials for TV broadcast is required.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating commercial video production, shooting, and editing capabilities.
- Strong technical knowledge of professional cameras, lenses, lighting, audio, and production equipment.
- Ability to independently manage a project from concept and pre-production through final delivery.
- Proficiency with professional editing software such as:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- CapCut
- Or comparable professional editing platforms
- Understanding of broadcast delivery standards, including codecs, frame rates, audio levels, resolution, file formats, and export requirements.
- Experience creating content for digital advertising and social platforms, including:
- YouTube
- Instagram
- TikTok
- Facebook/Meta
- Paid social
- Websites
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, pacing, lighting, and sound.
- Ability to direct talent, clients, and non-professional actors.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a creative team.
- Spanish fluency is required.

- Familiarity with TV station specifications and media-buying deliverables.
- Experience creating multiple creative variations for testing and performance optimization.
- Owns or has access to professional production equipment, including camera, lighting, audio, and stabilization equipment.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
