General Manager in Training

Up to 85K

Buona Restaurants is a family-focused Chicago brand dedicated to the growth and advancement of our teams, while delivering the highest quality food and guest experience. We are hiring a talented General Manager in Training who strives for leadership excellence and is highly motivated by our thriving, performance-driven culture.

As a GMIT, you’ll be responsible for creating a perfect dining experience for our guests through leadership, development, and a variety of industry-leading tools and strategies to manage all aspects of the operation. Five years of restaurant management experience is preferred.

Our GMIT role is designed to develop future General Managers — and for those who excel, our Managing Partner Program creates a pathway to deeper ownership, profit-sharing opportunity, and long-term leadership within the Buona organization.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years in a restaurant management role
Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) experience preferred
Drive-thru and Catering experience preferred
Familiar with and comfortable leading 10+ team members per shift
Financial acumen, particularly with budgets, payroll, revenue, and forecasting
QSR Trend Awareness
Strong knowledge of commonly used restaurant practices, concepts, and procedures
Strong administrative, multi-tasking, organizational, and prioritizing skills
Strong leadership and communication skills
