Full Job Description

About the Role

We’re a small but growing lawn and landscape company based in Elgin, IL. . We need someone who can keep the front of the business organized:

Answer calls
Get leads into our system
Send out estimates from our notes
Follow up to turn those estimates into booked jobs
Handle basic complaints and difficult customers when we’re in the field

If you’re organized, comfortable on the phone, and like seeing direct results from your work, you’ll fit well here.

What You’ll Do (Daily)

Answer incoming calls and return missed calls/voicemails
Enter new leads from Facebook forms, website, and calls into our CRM (HomeWorks)
Schedule estimates on our calendar (in‑person or drive‑by/video) using our booking system
Take Estimator's estimate notes/videos and turn them into digital estimates in the CRM
Send estimates via email/SMS using our templates
Follow up with leads and existing clients by phone/text to book jobs (current focus: Summer/Fall cleanups, curb appeal refreshes, then fall cleanups, gutter cleaning, winter services, aeration, etc.)
Handle basic complaints and “difficult” calls: listen, take notes, de‑escalate, and schedule fixes with the owner when needed

What We’re Looking For

Comfortable talking to people on the phone (not just email/text)
Strong attention to detail – you can follow a process and update notes in the CRM
Reliable: you show up when you say you will, every day
Can stay calm with upset customers and help get to a solution
Basic computer skills: email, simple CRM/Google Sheets, Calendly, etc.
Must have a quiet place to take calls, a good internet connection, and your own computer/headset

Lawn/landscape experience is a plus, but not required. We will train you on our offers and scripts.

Pay & Bonuses

starting $16/hour, paid weekly (approx. 20 hours/week)
Performance bonuses, such as:
$5 for each kept estimate you book
$10 for each job over $400 that is sold from your calls/texts

We’ll show you your numbers every week so you can see exactly how your work is paying off.

Schedule

Approx. 4 hours per day, Monday–Friday
We can set the exact block (for example, 9am–1pm or 2pm–6pm), but you must be consistent once we agree
Must be available during normal business hours in Central time for calls and follow‑up

How to Apply
