Full Job Description

Step into an impactful role supporting elementary students as a contracted school social worker in a community near St. Charles, IL. This is an exciting full-time opportunity focused on covering a leave through November, working with elementary-aged children in a dynamic school setting. Bring your passion and expertise to help nurture student well-being and growth.

Qualifications & Credentials:

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Work (SSW) endorsement required
Experience supporting children or students in educational or similar settings preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
Ability to develop rapport with children, families, and staff
Flexibility and professionalism in managing a caseload with variable student numbers

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide social-emotional support and counseling for elementary students on your caseload
Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and administration to address student needs
Conduct assessments and create effective intervention plans for students facing social, behavioral, or emotional challenges
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality standards
Communicate proactively with families and caregivers, supporting student success both in and out of the classroom
