Overview

Michael L. Doyle CPAs PLLC is seeking a full-time accounting professional to join our team. An active CPA or EA, or a degreed accountant with strong tax experience, is preferred, but we are also interested in experienced tax professionals who are looking to grow with our firm. In this energetic role, you will lead the preparation and review of complex tax returns, ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws, and support strategic tax planning initiatives. Your expertise will help us navigate the intricate landscape of tax regulations while maximizing financial efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your comprehensive tax experience in a fast-paced environment that values proactive problem-solving and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profit organizations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Assist with tax planning strategies including mergers & acquisitions, asset management, and corporate restructuring to optimize financial outcomes.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to interpret financial statements, perform account reconciliation, and analyze financial data for reporting purposes.
Create spreadsheets, reports, and supporting exhibits
Identify potential deductions, credits, and tax-planning opportunities
Maintain confidentiality and professional standards

Requirements

Proven experience in accounting and finance with a strong focus on tax accounting, individual tax, corporate tax expertise, or public accounting.
In-depth knowledge of tax law, tax reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance standards.
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Canopy or equivalent platforms.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare detailed financial report writing.
Excellent client communication skills to explain technical information clearly and professionally.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
