Full Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Housekeeper shall be responsible for providing a clean, neat and safe environment for the residents, employees and visitors at Austin Pines Ranch. The Housekeeper will report to the Facility Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Provide basic housekeeping duties, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, cleaning windows and scouring bathrooms
Work as part of a team with other housekeepers
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and provide needs to supervisor as needed
Physically able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds unassisted
Be able to climb up and down stairs carrying cleaning supplies
All work will be done in compliance with EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and regulations
Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
Perform other maintenance duties as requested

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to work as a team member and have management, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under stressful conditions and be flexible in relation to department needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
2+ years’ experience with residential or commercial housekeeping
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced knowledge of cleaning products, implements and practices
All work will be done in compliance with EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and regulations
Able to work well with minimal supervision
Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
Complete TB testing upon being hired
Complete certifications in HIPAA, PCI/Aggression, Infection Control

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Position is required to work in indoor and outdoor environments as needed. Potential exposure to violent situations.
