Full Job Description

Plaas Incorporated is located in Red Wing, MN with a branch office in South Sioux City, NE; we are well-established with over 50+ years of experience in Industrial Construction. We are looking for a Project Manager who will oversee mechanical piping projects from conception to completion. The Project Manager will be responsible for keeping all projects on-time, and on budget in a safe manner. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; estimating, equipment and subcontract negotiating, purchasing, labor management, scheduling and project profitability for all Mechanical Work.

Responsibilities included, but not limited to:

Prepare quotations, submittals, product sizing, and follow-up, enter orders as required, administer change orders, and other duties as assigned by the manager.
Distribute and maintain control of bid documents.
Ensure all bid forms are completed and properly executed.
Responsible for developing project schedules; facilitating, planning and design processes; coordinating design reviews; facilitating the solicitation, negotiation, and award of assigned projects.
Engage with the Client throughout the project, coordinating and assisting in the development of project requirements, drawings, cost estimates, requests for information, and other project related documents as required by the contract.
Manage projects during construction (start to finish), coordinating and directing subcontractors and contracts to all testing and final inspections.
Assist in solving problems that arise during construction, and the preparation of contract related documents required during construction such responses to Requests for Information and Change Orders.
Keep current on relevant codes and industry practices.
Duties as assigned
Team player with great communication skills

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management or related field.
5 Years of experience in estimating & project management role of commercial/industrial Mechanical Piping systems
Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional and courteous manner in diversified situations
Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
Computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office products.
Ability to meet deadlines despite distractions and interruptions.
Occasional Travel Required
