Tax Manager

Location: Fully Onsite
Salary: $120,000 – $150,000

We're partnering with a growing organization seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead tax strategy, compliance, and planning efforts. This is more than a traditional tax role—you'll serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, helping shape key business decisions while identifying opportunities to reduce risk, improve processes, and optimize the company's tax position.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all federal, state, and local tax compliance activities, ensuring accurate and timely filings.

Develop and execute proactive tax planning strategies that support business growth and maximize tax efficiencies.

Research and interpret changes in tax legislation while advising leadership on potential business impacts.

Partner with Accounting, Finance, and Operations to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance across the organization.

Manage tax provisions, reconciliations, audits, and relationships with external tax advisors and regulatory agencies.

Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, strengthen internal controls, and increase operational efficiency.

Support acquisitions, capital projects, and other strategic business initiatives by providing tax guidance and analysis.

Mentor and develop accounting team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.

Qualifications

CPA designation required.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

10+ years of progressive tax experience, preferably with a combination of public accounting and private industry.

Strong expertise in federal, state, and local tax compliance, planning, and strategy.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Outstanding communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax matters to both financial and non-financial leaders.

Creative, strategic mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax/accounting software.
