Job Title: Advanced Electronics & Mechanical Assembly Technician
Location: Omaha, NE

We are a rapidly growing manufacturer of high-precision scientific instruments used in analytical chemistry and advanced materials research. Our products are used by leading laboratories, semiconductor manufacturers, and research facilities worldwide. We prioritize innovation, quality, and continuous improvement—and we are looking for a detail-oriented Electronics & Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Electronics & Mechanical Assembly Technician to build, test, and troubleshoot high-precision analytical systems. This role requires strong hands-on experience with both electronic assemblies and mechanical integration in a production or engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble complex electronic and mechanical components, subassemblies, and full systems
Interpret and work from schematics, wiring diagrams, CAD drawings, and SOPs
Perform wiring, soldering (through-hole and SMT), and cable fabrication
Integrate fluidic, pneumatic, and motion control components where applicable
Conduct functional testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of assemblies
Identify and resolve assembly issues; provide feedback for design and process improvements
Maintain documentation, build records, and quality control standards
Support prototype builds and transition to production

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or technical certification in electronics, mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of hands-on assembly experience in electronics, instrumentation, or precision equipment
Strong skills in soldering, wiring, and use of test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Experience with fluidics, pumps, valves, or analytical instrumentation is a plus
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Skills:

Experience with ICP, ICP-MS, or other analytical systems
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or GMP/ISO environments
Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry
