Full Job Description

Human Resources Supervisor

Location: Horseheads, NY
Schedule: Day Shift
Salary: $65,000–$80,000 per year (depending on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Supervisor to help lead day-to-day HR operations within a dynamic organization. This role partners with leadership to ensure HR functions run smoothly, policies are consistently applied, and employees are supported across the full employment lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with leadership experience, a solid understanding of HR practices, and the ability to balance compliance with a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

Provide guidance and oversight to HR team members in daily activities
Support full-cycle recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate coordination, and onboarding
Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Address employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and performance concerns
Oversee administration of benefits, leave programs, and employee records
Assist with performance management processes, including reviews and development planning
Maintain accurate and confidential employee data within HR systems
Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
Prepare reports and track key HR metrics for leadership review
Coordinate training sessions and support employee development initiatives
Act as a resource for employees and management, helping to foster a positive workplace culture

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
3–5 years of HR experience, including at least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity
Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment regulations
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality
Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP
Experience supporting a multi-department or fast-paced work environment

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Primarily office-based with extended periods of computer use
Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the workplace as needed
Occasional lifting up to 15 lbs
