Full Job Description

As a Project/Technical Services Manager, you will oversee daily support activities, working hands-on with teams and other stakeholders to manage operations effectively and to achieve a best-in-class workplace experience.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Oversee ongoing facility renovations, which drive additional project and operations/maintenance responsibilities requiring management-level attention.
Identify projects/work requiring engineering or design and coordinate with relevant teams to align on solutions.
Develop complete project scopes, including time and cost estimates, identifying necessary resources, maintenance activities, and scheduling requirements for facility operations and repairs.
Plan and manage small-scale projects, including workforce resources, service providers, and materials procurement.
Improve workforce productivity and quality by eliminating potential delays through accurate planning and scheduling of subcontractors, materials, permits, and documentation.
Coordinate work efforts among facilities teams, service providers, the client, and subcontractors to avoid disruptions and ensure smooth operations.
Maintain consistent communication with clients and management to address key updates, potential challenges, and recommended solutions, all while ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
Proactively identify problems and opportunities, perform detailed analysis, and develop effective strategies for mitigation and solutions.
Provide ongoing support to building operations and maintenance teams, creating sustainable processes and programs to ensure efficiency and reduce operational costs.
guide and train teams to decrease waste, system failures, and maintenance expenses.
Assist in facility program management and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for multiple client sites.
Oversee the operation and maintenance of critical building mechanical support systems.
Implement and promote safety measures across the workplace by leading job-related safety initiatives, including the use of JHAs (Job Hazard Analyses), LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), hot work procedures, and established safety protocols.
Lead new facility and equipment designs through reviews of project plans, commissioning oversight, punch list creation, and process improvement recommendations.
Develop Preventive Maintenance schedules for newly commissioned assets and equipment.
Provide leadership in areas of predictive maintenance, life cycle studies, and reliability improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Facility Management, Maintenance Management, Engineering, or a related discipline OR a combination of education and relevant training and experience.
Alternatively, 8 years of experience in industrial facilities or production maintenance.
A minimum of 5 years of progressive career experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, biomedical, or research and development (R&D) facility maintenance.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and technical systems and the ability to assess facility needs.
Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use, including completing fit tests for required respirators.
Demonstrated fluency in using computers, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
The ability to read and interpret technical documents, digital information, and schematics.
Ability to obtain any site-specific security credentials as required, including background investigations.
Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident.
Possess or obtain a valid, state-issued driver’s license, if requested.

Physical & Workplace Requirements:

Ability to walk extensively, climb ladders, and access various work environments.
Perform physical tasks that may involve bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting, stretching, reaching, and repetitive movements.
Capable of working in high-pressure, emergency situations at an accelerated pace and managing related stressors.
Ability to differentiate wire color codes and read technical information effectively.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including steel-toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and hard hats, as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, we are seeking candidates with the following:

Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment (e.g., hospitals, pharmaceutical, or biomedical facilities).
Proficiency with CMMS software (e.g., managing maintenance and asset data within a computerized maintenance management system).
Expertise with predictive maintenance practices, lifecycle analysis, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) programs, and root cause analysis.
