Server Position at Marble Room Steaks & Raw Bar

Location: 623 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44114 (Downtown Cleveland, historic bank building in Playhouse Square)
Type: Full-time or Part-time, with mandatory weekend and evening availability
Compensation: hourly rate + generous tips (average server earnings significantly above national average in this upscale environment)

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced, polished, and energetic Servers to deliver exceptional, white-glove-level service in our high-volume, upscale steakhouse. As a Server at Marble Room, you will be the face of our restaurant, creating memorable experiences for guests who expect the highest standards of hospitality, attention to detail, and product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and professionally, providing knowledgeable menu guidance on our prime steaks, seafood, raw bar offerings, sushi, cocktails, and extensive wine list.
Take accurate food and beverage orders, enter them efficiently into the POS system, and communicate special requests clearly to the kitchen and bar teams.
Serve dishes and beverages with precision, timing, and elegant presentation, ensuring every course enhances the guest experience.
Anticipate guest needs, monitor tables closely, and provide proactive, attentive service throughout the meal.
Maintain deep knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, wine pairings, and daily specials.
Process payments accurately, present checks professionally, and encourage return visits through genuine engagement.
Collaborate seamlessly with front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth, efficient service during busy shifts.
Uphold impeccable standards of cleanliness, organization, and professionalism at all times.
Participate in pre-shift meetings, wine tastings, and ongoing training to stay current with our evolving menu and service standards.

Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of fine-dining serving experience in an upscale, fine-dining, or high-volume restaurant environment (steakhouse or similar preferred).
Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and food pairing is highly desirable.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and guest service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting while maintaining composure under pressure.
Professional appearance and demeanor that aligns with our luxurious brand.
Must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays (flexibility is required).
Food handler’s certification (or ability to obtain) and TIPS or equivalent alcohol service training preferred.
Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential.
