We are looking to add a Sales Manager to improve focus on training the team, close more customers, and handle multiple things (and work multiple deals) at the same time effectively to provide time for other managers to execute their job roles.

Sales Manager Responsibilities

The Sales Manager plays a key leadership role in the daily success of the sales department. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys training salespeople, working directly with customers, closing deals, and managing multiple priorities at once in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership environment.

The right candidate will help create structure, support the sales team, improve performance, and allow other managers to effectively execute their specific job responsibilities.

Responsibilities include:

● Train, coach, and develop sales consultants to improve performance, customer experience, product knowledge, and closing ability

● Ensure customers receive an exceptional buying experience from start to finish

● Work directly with customers throughout the sales process to help structure deals and close vehicle sales

● Desk deals, work numbers, review trade-ins, and assist with pricing and payment presentations

● Support sales consultants with customer objections, negotiations, and deal strategy

● Help maintain a high level of energy, accountability, and professionalism on the sales floor

● Manage multiple responsibilities at the same time in a busy dealership environment

● Assist in creating an efficient workflow, so other managers can focus on their core

responsibilities

● Help improve sales volume, gross profit, CSI, appointment show rate, and closing percentage

● Maintain strong follow-up habits and support proper CRM usage

● Assist with inventory strategy, vehicle merchandising, and lot maintenance

● Lead by example with professionalism, urgency, and a customer-first mindset

Schedule

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have:

● Automotive sales management experience required

● Experience working in a high-volume dealership strongly preferred

● Finance experience strongly preferred

● Strong ability to train, coach, and lead a sales team

● Proven ability to close deals and work directly with customers

● Strong understanding of desking deals, payments, trades, and finance products

● Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

● Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

● Experience using CRM and dealership management systems

● Professional attitude and strong work ethic

● Self-motivated with a desire to grow within the automotive industry
