Overview

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Housekeeper, where your attention to detail and passion for cleanliness will create welcoming, pristine environments for our guests. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and orderliness across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. Your dedication ensures our guests enjoy a comfortable and memorable stay, reflecting our commitment to excellence in hospitality. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within a vibrant hotel environment.

Duties

Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and chemical agents.
Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy linens, furniture, or cleaning equipment to maintain efficiency and safety standards.
Care for floors through sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to uphold the hotel’s cleanliness standards.
Manage janitorial supplies and equipment, ensuring all cleaning tools are maintained and stored properly.
Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times.
Assist with hotel housekeeping management tasks as needed, including inventory checks and reporting maintenance issues.

Requirements

Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial work within hospitality or industrial cleaning environments.
Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical agent handling, and floor care practices.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to manual handling guidelines.
Ability to utilize stairs to enter and navigate the buildings.
Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to respond effectively in urgent situations.
Experience with hospitality management or janitorial responsibilities is preferred but not mandatory.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on delivering exceptional guest service standards.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
