Full Job Description

Zimmerman Metals, Inc. is looking for a skilled Lathe Machinist to join our team.

Job Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC and Manual Lathes
Maintain machine by conducting PM, replacing fluids, and adjusting machine for operations
Receive and interpret prints for a variety of parts
Prepare finished parts for shipment

Required Skills and Attributes

2-4 years of experience operating a CNC or Manual Lathe
Must be able to read blueprints
Must be self-sufficient with setups
Ability to read, write and adjust G-Code
Must have experience working with materials such as low carbon steel, stainless, high carbon, aluminum, etc.
Must have own tools to perform work duties
Capable of programming using Mastercam or fusion 360 (preferred but not required)

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle materials.
Frequently required to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and potentially hazardous materials in a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment:

The position operates in a manufacturing or warehouse setting with exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
May involve exposure to dust, dirt, and noise from machinery.
