Full Job Description

The Role

This role starts as accounting and grows into operations. Day one, you're running the books — full-cycle AP/AR, reconciliations, month-end close, payroll, and vendor/client credit management, start to finish, with real ownership. As you get established, this role expands into broader operations — the kind of cross-training that gives you visibility into how the whole business runs, not just the finance side of it.We're not looking for someone who wants to stay in a lane forever. We're looking for someone precise enough to own the accounting outright, and curious enough to want more than that once they've proven it.

What you'll do

Accounting (the immediate focus)

Own accounts payable and accounts receivable — accurate, on time, no chasing needed
Manage banking activity and monthly reconciliations
Run month-end closing and adjustments
Handle contract and credit management for clients and vendors
Process payroll accurately and on schedule
Communicate directly with clients and vendors on billing, credit terms, and account questions

Operations (as you grow into it)

Cross-train across other areas of the business as capacity allows
Take on broader operational responsibility as you build trust and track record
Help identify where processes can run tighter across the business, not just in accounting

What you bring

3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, required
Associate's degree in accounting preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered
Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop, required
Comfortable in QuickBooks Online, or willing to build proficiency quickly
Comfortable and/or proficient in AI models like Claude or Chat GPT
Advanced Excel skills
Detail-oriented and deadline-driven — the accounting side of this role doesn't tolerate loose ends
Comfortable with variety and reprioritizing as conditions shift — this isn't a role where the task list stays the same every day
Direct, factual communicator — you say what's accurate, not what's convenient

This role is built to start in accounting and grow from there. As you establish yourself, there's real room to take on more of the operational side of the business — how much and how fast depends on you, not a fixed timeline.

Compensation & benefits

$65,000 to $70,000/year, based on experience
401(k)
Paid holidays and paid time off
Monday–Friday, 8:30–5:00, full-time on-site in Englewood, FL

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
